Draft for review. This notice is written to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Two things need your input before it goes live: the name and email of your Grievance Officer, and how long you keep booking records. Both are marked below.
This page explains what we do with the personal data you give us when you book a celebration setup with us.
What we collect, and why
- Your name, phone number and email address — so we can confirm your booking and reach you about it.
- The delivery address for your event — so our team can get there and set up.
- Your booking date, time slot and any notes you leave us — so we deliver the right thing at the right time.
- Basic technical data your browser sends, such as your IP address — for security and to keep the site working.
We do not collect card or bank details on this website. Payment is taken by our team on the day.
Messages about your booking
When you place a booking you consent to us contacting you about that booking on WhatsApp, SMS, phone or email — confirmations, a reminder before the day, and our team letting you know they are on the way. These are transactional messages: they are part of delivering what you ordered.
We will not send you marketing or promotional messages unless you separately ask us to, and you can stop those at any time by replying to one or writing to us.
Who else sees it
Only the people who need it to deliver your booking: our own setup team, and the messaging and email services we use to send your confirmations. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as we need them for accounts and tax, and then delete them. [Confirm the retention period you want stated here — for example, eight years for tax records.]
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- tell you what data of yours we hold and what we have done with it;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your data, where we are not required to keep it;
- withdraw your consent — though we may then be unable to deliver a booking you have already placed;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated.
Ask by writing to us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you for it.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, contact our Grievance Officer. [Add the Grievance Officer’s name and a contact email here — the DPDP Act requires both to be published.] If we do not resolve it, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
